Constantia Glen Meets Bordeaux

An evening of discovery, friendly rivalry and exceptional wine awaits!

A tasting of three flights. Nine wines. Two renowned regions producing the same styles of wine on two different continents. Can you tell them apart?

Join us at Constantia Glen for a special evening as we put our Bordeaux-style blends to the ultimate test: a blind tasting of Constantia Glen wines alongside wines from Bordeaux itself.

With the labels hidden, reputation gives way to what’s in the glass. Across three carefully curated flights, you’ll taste nine wines, three South African and six French, and discover where your palate takes you. Will your favourites be closer to home, or further afield?

Guiding the tasting will be our Cellarmaster, Justin van Wyk. Having worked a harvest season in St Emilion, Bordeaux in 2008, and in Napa Valley, California in 2010, and of course having been with us at Constantia Glen since 2008, Justin has spent all of his career working with Bordeaux varieties. He brings a wealth of knowledge and a compelling perspective to the tasting.

Expect thoughtful conversation, lively debate and perhaps a few surprises, all shared around a long table in our Cab Franc Pergola.

Following the tasting, settle in for dinner with a choice of beef fillet or grilled kingklip, before ending the evening with something sweet.
