Constantia Glen Wins Gold and Silver at IWSC 2026

Constantia Glen won two medals at IWSC 2026: Gold (96 points) for the Sauvignon Blanc 2025, and Silver (94 points) for the Constantia Glen FIVE 2023 — one of South Africa’s toughest harvest vintages.

Constantia Glen Sauvignon Blanc 2025 – Gold, 96 Points

The Constantia Glen Sauvignon Blanc 2025 received a Gold Medal, scoring 96 points out of 100. Sauvignon Blanc is one of South Africa’s most contested categories, so it is especially rewarding to see our current release, the 2025 vintage, recognised at this level.

“A delicate, charming bouquet of white grapefruit and gentle tropical notes leads to a vibrant palate of bright Cape fruit and citrus, layered with peachy, floral nuances and a subtle salinity. This elegant, refined wine finishes long and intense. Delicious.” – IWSC Judges Notes

Constantia Glen FIVE 2023 – Silver, 94 Points

The Constantia Glen FIVE 2023 received a Silver Medal, scoring 94 points. Given that 2023 was one of our toughest harvest seasons for reds, with 187mm of rainfall in the month of March 2023, we were initially not sure a 2023 release would be possible of the Constantia Glen FIVE. Careful picking, rigorous bunch sorting and painstaking cellar work produced a wine we’re proud to release, and this award affirms those decisions.

The International Wine and Spirit Competition (IWSC) is a leading global benchmark for quality in wine and spirits, with regional judging events held worldwide, including South Africa. This year’s South African judging panel consisting of international experts evaluated almost 600 South African wines and spirits from across the entire African continent, awarding as many as 30 gold wine medals and 300 silver.
